RPMS-PPST Tools 2023
As educators and professionals in the field of education, we understand the significance of continuous improvement, professional development, and career advancement for teachers. In this rapidly evolving landscape of education, it’s essential to have a robust and competency-based performance management system in place to ensure that teachers are empowered to excel in their roles.
With that in mind, we are excited to introduce the “Multi-Year Guidelines on the Results-Based Performance Management System Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (RPMS-PPST)” by the Department of Education (DepEd). This memorandum lays the foundation for a comprehensive and thoughtful approach to teacher evaluation and growth, centered around the 37 indicators of the Philippine Professional Standards for Teachers (PPST).
Over the next three school years, namely SY 2022-2023, SY 2023-2024, and SY 2024-2025, this performance management system will be deployed to assess and guide teachers’ progress. The guidelines aim to capture teachers’ actual performance, considering various learning modalities and adapting to different contexts and scenarios.
To ensure a seamless implementation, the RPMS-PPST comes with a carefully curated set of tools, forms, and protocols. These resources have been meticulously developed and modified to align with the evolving needs of the educational landscape. Our goal is to create a system that not only evaluates but also nurtures and supports the growth of our dedicated educators.
As we embark on this journey together, we invite you to delve deeper into the details of the RPMS-PPST and explore the possibilities it holds for elevating the teaching profession. We firmly believe that a well-designed and thoughtful performance management system will not only benefit individual teachers but also contribute to the overall improvement of our education system.
So, let’s embrace this opportunity to foster excellence in teaching, as we work hand in hand to shape a brighter future for both teachers and students alike. Stay tuned for more insightful articles and updates on this transformative performance management approach!
