Republic Act No. 7925 (RA 7925), otherwise known as the “Public Telecommunications Policy Act” likewise recognizes the essential role of telecommunication in economic development, integrity and security of the Philippines, and as such shall be developed and administered as to safeguard, enrich and strengthen the economic, cultural, social and political fabric of the Philippines.
All SIM card users must register their personal information with telecommunications companies, or telcos, in accordance with the SIM Card Registration Act, or Republic Act 11934. Here are the requirements and registration process for users of SIM Card from GLOBE, SMART, TNT, SUN, DITO and Other Networks using the respective SIM Card Registration Portal. Before registering the SIM card with your Public Telecommunications Entity (PTE), make sure you own it, have access to its serial number, and know your phone number. Simply select your specific network from the list below to learn how to sign up.:
- Registration for GLOBE SIM Card Users
- Registration for GLOBE At Home SIM Card Users

Registration of Existing SIM Card Users
- a. All existing SIM subscribers/end-users shall register within one hundred eighty (180) days from effectivity of the Act. The registration may be extended for a period not exceeding one hundred twenty (120) days. Failure to register the existing SIM within the period prescribed shall result in the automatic deactivation of the SIM. The deactivated SIM may only be reactivated after registration; provided, however, that reactivation shall be made not later than five (5) days after such automatic deactivation.
- b. PTEs shall include the information and data of existing postpaid subscribers in the SIM register to align with the registration requirement hereunder. To complete registration however, such existing postpaid subscribers shall be required to confirm their information and data included in the SIM Register, through the PTE’s registration platform or website established under the Act and this IRR.
