The SIM Card Registration Act, or Republic Act 11934, requires all SIM card users to register their personal information with telecommunications providers, or telcos. Here are the prerequisites and the SIM Card Registration Portal registration procedure for GOMO Sim Card Users.
The law exists to safeguard consumers against nefarious practices including scams, smishing, and other forms of online and mobile fraud. These have multiplied because criminals can use prepaid SIMs without registering any of their personal information, enabling them to do so anonymously and avoid detection.

How to register your GOMO SIM Card?
The law covers all individuals, both local and foreign, and corporate entities using SIMs purchased in the Philippines for use in devices such as mobile and modems. Here are the steps for Online SIM Card Registration thru GOMO SimReg Portal:
- Registration of SIM Card is required for GOMO Users. All users must provide their information including name, sex, birthdate, address, proof of identity, etc.
- Read first the requirements below before accessing the Registration Portal.
- Visit the official PlayStore or AppStore.
- Download GOMO App or click here.
- Then, create your account for GOMO SIM Card you have.
- A photo of Valid ID (see the list of Valid ID below) must be uploaded to the registration portal. Make sure it is up to date.
- Verify all of the information, then press the “submit” button.
- Your sim card registration and personal details will be verified by the telecom operator.
How long must GOMO SIM Card owners must register?
All existing mobile phone and broadband subscribers are given until April 26, 2023 to register their SIMs with their respective telco. The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) may extend the registration period for 120 days, though this has yet to be confirmed. (Globe Telecom)
Number of SIM Cards a user can register
If you have multiple SIMs, you may register all of them but you are required to register each SIM under your name. Simply visit the GOMO online registration portal and repeat the process for each of your SIMs.
Failure to register your SIM Cards
If you are unable to register your SIM before the deadline, the SIM will be deactivated permanently. When your SIM is deactivated, you will no longer be able to use your text, call, data, and other mobile services.
