The Daily Lesson Logs (DLLs) shared here follow the MATATAG Curriculum and use the ILAW Framework. These DLLs are for Week 4 of Term 1, covering July 6–10, 2026, for all grade levels. Before you download the files, please read the information below. The lesson logs cover the First Quarter of School Year 2026–2027. You may adjust or improve them based on your teaching approach and your learners’ needs. We created these DLLs to help you prepare your lessons more efficiently while giving you the flexibility to customize them for your classroom. They also align with the Department of Education’s Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELCs).
The Department of Education (DepEd) requires teachers to prepare their lessons before classes begin. This practice helps ensure that learners receive organized and meaningful instruction. Careful lesson planning through the Daily Lesson Log (DLL) supports effective teaching and learning in the classroom. It also helps teachers deliver lessons more smoothly while keeping learning objectives on track. By using these DLLs, teachers can manage their classes more effectively and focus on meeting the needs of their learners.

What is ILAW Format for Daily Lesson Logs?
The ILAW Framework is the lesson planning framework adopted by the Philippine Department of Education under the MATATAG Curriculum. It is used in the Daily Lesson Log (DLL) and Daily Lesson Exemplar (DLE) to organize instruction into four major parts.
ILAW stands for:
- I – Introduction
- Sets the purpose of the lesson.
- Activates learners’ prior knowledge.
- Motivates and prepares learners for the new lesson.
- L – Learning
- The main teaching and learning process.
- Learners explore, discuss, practice, and develop understanding and skills.
- Includes guided and collaborative activities.
- A – Assessment
- Checks learners’ understanding and achievement of the lesson objectives.
- May be formative or performance-based.
- W – Wrap-up
- Summarizes the key learning points.
- Encourages reflection and connects the lesson to future learning or real-life situations.
Sample Flow
| ILAW Component | Sample Activity |
|---|---|
| Introduction | Prayer, review, motivation, stating objectives |
| Learning | Discussion, exploration, group work, practice |
| Assessment | Short quiz, performance task, oral recitation |
| Wrap-up | Summary, reflection, application, assignment |
The ILAW Framework emphasizes learner-centered, competency-based, and interactive instruction, aligning with the goals of the MATATAG Curriculum by focusing on essential competencies and meaningful learning experiences.
