Updated! Daily Lesson Log DLL (Week 10 of Term 1) SY 2026-2027 | ILAW Format

The Daily Lesson Logs (DLLs) for Week 10 of Term 1 (August 17–20, 2026) are focused on the preparation and review for the Term 1 Examination. During this week, teachers can use the DLLs to guide learners through review activities, reinforcement of key competencies, and other appropriate preparations before the examination.

To further support teachers in preparing learners for the Term 1 Examination, we also provide free test questionnaires with corresponding Table of Specifications (TOS). You can download and use these materials as supplementary resources for review, assessment preparation, and classroom practice. Teachers should also review and contextualize the questionnaires to match their learners’ competencies and learning needs.

Thus, the Week 10 DLLs are part of our continuously updated collection of lesson guides for School Year 2026–2027, aligned with the MATATAG Curriculum and the Department of Education’s ILAW Framework. Teachers should review, adapt, and contextualize the materials according to their learners’ progress and classroom needs. The available free test questionnaires and TOS may likewise serve as additional resources. In addition, it helps learners prepare confidently for the upcoming Term 1 Examination.

What is ILAW Format for Daily Lesson Logs?

The ILAW Framework is the lesson planning framework adopted by the Philippine Department of Education under the MATATAG Curriculum. In addition, it is used in the Daily Lesson Log (DLL) and Daily Lesson Exemplar (DLE) to organize instruction into four major parts.

ILAW stands for:

  • I – Introduction
    • Sets the purpose of the lesson.
    • Activates learners’ prior knowledge.
    • Motivates and prepares learners for the new lesson.
  • L – Learning
    • The main teaching and learning process.
    • Learners explore, discuss, practice, and develop understanding and skills.
    • Includes guided and collaborative activities.
  • A – Assessment
    • Checks learners’ understanding and achievement of the lesson objectives.
    • May be formative or performance-based.
  • W – Wrap-up
    • Summarizes the key learning points.
    • Encourages reflection and connects the lesson to future learning or real-life situations.

The ILAW Framework emphasizes learner-centered, competency-based, and interactive instruction, aligning with the goals of the MATATAG Curriculum. Lastly, the DLL on this page focuses on essential competencies and meaningful learning experiences.
