Daily Lesson Logs (DLLs) are continuously updated and uploaded to our website to help teachers prepare for their daily classroom instruction. The available files now include Week 8 of Term 1 (August 3–7, 2026) for all grade levels. This week’s DLLs integrate Buwan ng Wika and History Month activities and concepts into classroom instruction in line with the MATATAG Curriculum. Before downloading, please review the information provided below.

These Daily Lesson Logs (DLLs) have been prepared to support teachers across all grade levels for School Year 2026–2027. Aligned with the MATATAG Curriculum and guided by the Department of Education’s ILAW Framework, these lesson guides are intended to assist educators in delivering meaningful and learner-centered instruction. Teachers are encouraged to customize and enrich the content based on their learners’ abilities, classroom realities, and available learning resources. While these DLLs provide a structured foundation for daily teaching, professional judgment and contextualization remain essential in ensuring effective and responsive classroom learning experiences.

The Department of Education requires all teaching personnel to have a pre-planned lesson before class begins. The main goal of the Department of Education (DepEd) in requiring teachers to have a lesson plan is effective learning. Therefore, teachers need a well-planned Daily Lesson Log (DLL) to deliver quality teaching and learning in schools. It helps them organize their lessons and stay focused on the learning goals. At the same time, it reduces unnecessary paperwork, so they can spend more time teaching while making sure learners achieve the expected outcomes.

What is ILAW Format for Daily Lesson Logs?

The ILAW Framework is the lesson planning framework adopted by the Philippine Department of Education under the MATATAG Curriculum. In addition, it is used in the Daily Lesson Log (DLL) and Daily Lesson Exemplar (DLE) to organize instruction into four major parts.

ILAW stands for:

  • I – Introduction
    • Sets the purpose of the lesson.
    • Activates learners’ prior knowledge.
    • Motivates and prepares learners for the new lesson.
  • L – Learning
    • The main teaching and learning process.
    • Learners explore, discuss, practice, and develop understanding and skills.
    • Includes guided and collaborative activities.
  • A – Assessment
    • Checks learners’ understanding and achievement of the lesson objectives.
    • May be formative or performance-based.
  • W – Wrap-up
    • Summarizes the key learning points.
    • Encourages reflection and connects the lesson to future learning or real-life situations.

The ILAW Framework emphasizes learner-centered, competency-based, and interactive instruction, aligning with the goals of the MATATAG Curriculum. Lastly, the DLL on this page focuses on essential competencies and meaningful learning experiences.
