President Ferdinand Marcos authorized the release of a one-time Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) at a uniform rate not exceeding Twenty Thousand Pesos (Php 20,000.00) for each of the following personnel in the Executive branch for Fiscal Year 2023. This new update was stated in his Administrative Order 12 s. 2023 entitled “AUTHORIZING THE GRANT OF SERVICE RECOGNITION INCENTIVE TO GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2023“. The Department of Education (DepEd) employees are expecting to receive SRI amounting Php 20,000.00 before the end of 2023. However, DepEd, as like last year, may not fulfill the said Service Recognition Incentive amount. The amount of SRI for DepEd may varies in the department’s saving and current financial status.
Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) is granted to government employees like DepEd personnel in order to honor their contribution in 2023. This incentive is part of administration’s ongoing efforts to create more efficient government operations and responsive public service delivery.
