Manila, December 21, 2023 – Today, there is a document namely Proclamation No. 427 circulating in various social media platforms. This speculated proclamation states that President Ferdinand “Bong-bong” Marcos Jr. declared December 22, 2023 as a special (half-working) day throughout the country. In this fake proclamation, the main reason for declaring special half-working day is the expected heavy traffic on afternoon of December 22.
However, the official Malacañang Palace said this Proclamation No. 427 (entitled Declaring Friday, 22 December 2023 as a Special (Half-Working) Day throughout the Country) is FALSE. Whoever the origin of this fake news had the purpose to cause confusion and/or just to gain attention. Furthermore, the true Proclamation No. 427 is entitled “Declaring Nine (9) Individuals as a Manlilikha ng Bayan for 2023”
