- The Department of Education (DepEd) issues the enclosed Policy Guidelines on the K to 12 Basic Education Program to provide context to and articulate its context, features, and programs.
- The Policy provides a comprehensive explanation of the K to 12 Basic Education Program and its components across all key stages. It also provides a clear framework for the monitoring and evaluation of the program.
- The policy integrates many of the existing policies and guidelines on K to 12. It also provides a reference point for ongoing and/ or future review of any of its components as may be directed by the Secretary.
- This policy will remain in force and in effect unless sooner repealed, amended, or rescinded.
- Immediate dissemination of this Order is directed.

Important Reminders in Preparing Class and Teacher’s Program
Sample Classroom and Teacher Program may be modified in terms of format and required teacher/class information if necessary based on the actual needs of the school, teacher, and situation, provided that no required information as stated in DepEd Order 21 s. 2019 is deleted. Signatories in the sample are strictly enforced.
Class Program and Teacher’s Schedule have to be referred first to the PSDS In-Charge for review to ensure that DepEd Order No. 21, s. 2019 is strictly observed especially on timeslot for every learning area, as well as DepEd Memorandum No. 291, s. 2008 for teachers’ working hours.
